Standard Manhole Guards Confined Space Systems Safety Barrier

The Manhole Guard Rail is designed to fence off open manholes and confined space entry points. It acts as a fall guard, preventing an unwitting pedestrian or worker from stepping into an open manhole while your team is working.


Large enough to fence off an area 33 in. x 33 in. Guard Rail is 42 in. high, but will easily collapse for storage and transport (down to a manageable 44 in by 4 in.). Weighing only 34 lbs. guard rail is remarkably light and easy to carry and set up at the work site.

Built from strong tubular-steel (and powder coated in safety yellow for visibility) the Manhole Guard Rail is designed for simple construction and quick on site assembly.

Locks and hook chains are provided to protect the entry gate, while the tubular design also allows for its use with a work tent, winch and umbrellas.


To assemble, simple unfold the one-piece unit. There are no tools needed for assembly. Rail locks open and two hooking chains provide protected entry and exit. For safety, the rail accommodates signs, flags or lights, and for convenience it can be used with a guard rail tent, umbrellas. 

A great and necessary addition for any confined space workers performing manhole entry.
